King John Buildings

Reimagination of 62-64 King Street - Hamilton, Ontario

Situated along Gore Park, 62+64 King Street highlights the continued renewal of the Hamilton's downtown core, the intervention aims to preserve the historic façade while updating the fenestration on the ground floor.
The contemporary stepped back addition on the top floor ensures the maximum sunlight is maintained along the promenade.

Challenge

Known as the King John Building, has finally ‘hit rock bottom’. The foundation for our new modern, revitalized building has been poured. This will support both the elevator shaft and the structural steel that will be required to carry the weight of the glass roof covering the atrium. The building is also undergoing a substantial upgrade to meet current seismic building codes. The electrical service has been upgraded to 400 amp service and a new connection to the main electrical grid in downtown Hamilton has been constructed. It’s not too early to book a tour if you, or someone you know, is interested in leasing all or part of the building.

Live & Work

Our new project on King Street in Hamilton is being created with this idea in mind.
